Bus Ministry

Bro. & Mrs. Little joined our staff in August of 2008.  Their bus route is in Center.  They go to some of the roughest areas of our town.  They pick up young people that need someone to love them.  Their bus program is well organized and full of fun and activities.   Their five children often help on the bus route and regularly help with the visitation program.  What a special addition this family has been to our church. 

      Bro. David, often called Harv, graduated from CBCS.  He went as far away from God and the church as he possibly could.  Many people continued to pray for him. God continued to love him.  He came back with his family and found a place that showed God's love for his family.  It wasn't long before David was saved, baptized, and called into the bus ministry.  His family continue to reach the route for the Lord.  He faithfully brings in young people that need to hear the God loves them.  The family is patient with the bus riders and at every opportunity lets them know that this is their church and God loves them.  Bro. David and Mrs. Lydia have started working in the teen junior church program.  This takes extra grace and love to be able to reach these hardened young people.

      Bro. James. Tutt came to church after his daughter came to Junior Church for several weeks with her friend, Cassidy Spratley.  Tamera won a big prize of a large water jug of pennies.  She had to have help to take that prize home!  Bro. and Mrs. Tutt came to visit our church.  After several weeks God showed them this was a good place to raise their two girls.  It wasn't long before they surrendered their lives to work on a bus route.  He has faithfully worked that bus route for several years.  We continue to see the Lord bless Bro. Tutt even though he has gone through some very tough testing times.  Please pray for their family.

Different drivers drive the van around town to pick up regular teen riders that come to the youth department.  A few times  riders get saved on the way home from church.  One rider asked if he could find out how to go to heaven.  The driver stopped on the side of the road to take time to show they young man how to trust the Lord for salvation.  The young man did get baptized and is a faithful member of the youth group.
